Gasoline Price Jumps 5¢ to $3.32, Lundberg Says

The average pump price of regular gasoline rose 5 cents in the past two weeks to $3.32 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.
 
Gasoline futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose to a record $2.78 a gallon last week, Bloomberg reported. That price is absent taxes.

The highest average price for self-serve regular gasoline was $3.72 a gallon in San Francisco, Lundberg said. The lowest was in Newark, N.J., at $3.03.

The Energy Department last Monday reported a gasoline record of $3.29 a gallon. DOE comes out with its weekly survey of gas and diesel pump prices Monday afternoon.
