Gasoline Surges 15¢ to $3.62

Crude Oil Tops $120 a Barrel for First Time

Gasoline prices jumped 15 cents in the past two weeks to a national average $3.62 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.

The latest survey covered the two-week period ended Friday.

Crude oil futures rose $3.80 on Friday to close the week at $116.32 a barrel, Bloomberg reported. The price topped $120 for the first time Monday in intraday trading, news services reported.

The lowest price was in Cheyenne, Wyo., at $3.39 a gallon, while the highest was in San Francisco, at $3.95, Lundberg said.



The U.S. Department of Energy comes out with its weekly survey of gasoline and diesel prices Monday afternoon.
