Harvest Partners Acquires Lazer Spot From Greenbriar Equity

Harvest Partners said its managed funds have acquired Lazer Spot Inc. from Greenbriar Equity Group LP.
Lazer Spot, headquartered in Alpharetta, Ga., is an outsourced yard management service in the United States and Canada.
Lazer Spot ranks No. 49 on the Transport Topics Top 50 list of the largest logistics companies in North America.
Harvest officials said Lazer Spot’s management team, led by CEO Adam Newsome, will continue to lead Lazer Spot, and remain significant owners of the business.
Additional terms of the transaction were not disclosed in a Dec. 9 news release.
Lazer Spot says it is a national provider of spotting services — rapid movement of empty and full trailers at customers’ distribution centers and manufacturing facilities — and shuttling, or on-demand movement of empty or full trailers between customers’ sites, distribution facilities, third-party rail yards and shipping ports.
Lazer Spot officials said the company is actively pursuing acquisitions of other spotting and shuttling businesses.
Lazer Spot was founded in 1996.
