Hendrickson to Acquire Austrian Components Business

Truck component-maker Hendrickson said it plans to acquire the leaf spring and stabilizer segments of the Austrian Frauenthal Group, along with a number of its subsidiaries in Europe.

Terms were not disclosed.

“This acquisition of this business will enable us to broaden our footprint in Europe to better support our global spring customer base,” Hendrickson CEO Gary Gerstenslager said in the June 19 announcement.

Hendrickson said the transaction will close later this year.

Hendrickson, based in Itasca, Illinois, manufactures and supplies medium- and heavy-duty suspensions, axles, springs and bumper and trim components.
