Hendrickson to Offer Suspension Unit in 2005

AK BROOK, Ill. — Truck component maker Hendrickson International plans to have a new suspension unit for Class 8 trucks ready for sale in 2005, a company official told reporters here.

Keith Stephenson, vice president of operations, also said that for all the ups and downs in the equipment market since 1999, the manufacturer of truck and trailer suspensions and related components had introduced more new products in the past four years than in any equivalent period in its 90-year history.

He said that Hendrickson’s HTB (Hendrickson Torque Box) product would be a lightweight, non-torque reactive rear air suspension that would substantially increase ride quality for truck drivers.
