High-Tech, Software Vendors Push Tracking, Security Wares

ORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — High-tech equipment and software vendors who gathered here for the annual meeting of the Technology and Maintenance Council, a unit of American Trucking Associations, unveiled additional investments and new approaches to tracking and security.

The companies used a day-long series of press conferences preceding the TMC meeting and Diesel Engine Emissions Summit II to unveil news about their products.

GE Transport International Pool said parent company General Electric Co. was putting more resources into asset tracking.



Several technology firms said they were offering products that combined security data with productivity gains for trucking customers.
