Hino Trucks Appoints New President

Hino Motor Sales USA, Novi, Mich., said it has appointed Yoshinori Noguchi its new president, effective this week.

Noguchi has been a Hino board member since June 2010 and has been managing officer at Hino Motors Ltd. in Japan since April 2012.

His appointment follows Sumio Fukaya’s retirement last week, the company said in a statement.

Hino Motor Sales USA, which makes medium-duty trucks, does business under the name Hino Trucks.

Noguchi joined Hino in 1977 and has held various domestic and Asian overseas assignments in his 35-year career with the company.

Most recently, Noguchi was responsible for all overseas business, including the United States. From 2006 through 2009, he was president of Hino Motors Sales Thailand Ltd.
