The House Ground Transportation Subcommittee will hear from the General Accounting Office and the Department of Transportation’s inspector general at the second hearing in its series of sessions on motor carrier safety.

The March 17 testimony is likely to be similar to that given by the government watchdog agencies at a Feb. 23 hearing held by the House Transportation Appropriations Subcommittee.

Last month, the subcommittee heard an overview of DOT’s motor carrier safety efforts at a Feb. 5 hearing.
