Illinois Trucking Association Elects New Officers

The Illinois Trucking Association elected its 2021-2022 officers during the ITA Annual Meeting & Expo in December.

Bob Stock, owner of Stock Transport Inc. in Lebanon, Ill., was elected chairman, and Mike Burton, owner of C&K Trucking in Chicago Ridge, Ill., was elected president of the ITA board.  

Brian Wasowicz, a transportation specialist at Triple G Enterprises in Lockport, Ill., was elected first vice president of the association. Joe Newman, president of Newman Carriers in Fairmont City, Ill., will serve as second vice president. Adan Abarca, director of A&M Intermodal in Chicago, was elected third vice president. Eric Kiefer, president of Nu-Way Transportation in Bloomington, Ill., was elected to serve as secretary/treasurer. 



Also reelected to the ITA Executive Board were Jerry Cooper of Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson & Feary as legal counsel, Illinois vice president to American Trucking Associations Kevin Lhotak of Reliable Transportation Specialists Inc., and Matt Hart, ITA’s executive director.

ITA, a nonprofit organization led by trucking companies to promote and protect the interests of the trucking industry in Illinois, is the state affiliate of ATA.
