Import Prices Rise 3.2% in June

The price of goods imported to the United States jumped 3.2% in June, marking the fourth straight monthly increase, the Labor Department said Friday.

The climb followed a revised 1.4% increase in May that was revised upward from 1.3%.

Prices excluding fuels rose 0.2% but were down a record 6.5% from June 2008.

June prices were forecast to rise 2%, Bloomberg reported.
