Industrial Production Falls

U.S. industrial production fell 0.2% last month, the Federal Reserve said Tuesday.

The gain in production at factories, mines and utilities followed a revised 0.8% increase in February that had originally been reported as a 1% gain.

The share of industrial capacity in use fell to 81.4%, from 81.6% in February.
 
Economists’ had forecast industrial production would be unchanged, Bloomberg reported.
 
The factory sector is one of trucking’s largest and most important customers.
