Industrial Production Rises 0.1% in September

Industrial production rose 0.1% in September, the Federal Reserve said Tuesday.

The gain in production at factories, mines and utilities followed no change in August. The gain matched economists’ forecasts, Bloomberg reported.

The share of industrial capacity in use held at 82.1% for a second straight month, the Fed said.

The factory sector is one of trucking’s largest and most important customers.
