Ingersoll Rand Completes Frigoblock Acquisition

Ingersoll Rand has completed its previously announced acquisition of Frigoblock, a European manufacturer of transport refrigeration units, for 100 million euros (about $108 million).

The transaction, announced in December, closed March 4.

Frigoblock, which operates in Essen, Germany, sells TRUs primarily in Northern Europe.

The acquired company now is part of Ingersoll Rand’s Transport Solutions business, which goes to market as Thermo King.

Ingersoll Rand said the acquisition broadens its transport refrigeration products and services in Europe and strengthens its research and design capabilities.
