Inspiron Logistics Launches Fleet Notification System

Inspiron Logistics announced it has launched a new notification system that enables fleet managers to alert trucks and personnel about current weather impacts, route closures and time sensitive information with in-cab voice or text alerts.

Inspiron’s Wireless Emergency Notification System, or WENS, automatically triggers fleet alerts without requiring an administrator’s intervention, the company said. WENS will only activate notifications to fleet operators and personnel within the geographical areas designated by administrators.

WENS allows fleet administrators to configure automated weather alerts based on warnings, watches and advisories issued by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Inspiron said.

The system also enables administrators to instantly communicate directly with landlines, mobile devices, email, sirens, digital signs and pagers.
