img src="/sites/default/files/images/articles/printeditiontag_new.gif" width=120 align=right>The board that governs the International Registration Plan gave Oklahoma officials until January to come up with a plan to reimburse other states for revenue lost because of the Oklahoma Tax Commission’s truck-registration scandal.
If Oklahoma does not comply with the ultimatum, IRP directed states to withhold the registration fees truckers pay that would be due to Oklahoma.
The directive would not directly affect truckers, even if the other IRP members halted distribution of registration fees to Oklahoma, according to an official of Illinois, one of the states that said Oklahoma owed it money.
