Jasper Engines & Transmissions Acquires Independent Distributor

Jasper Engines & Transmissions acquired Jasper Engines & Transmissions of Greensboro, N.C., an independent distributor.

Terms were not disclosed.

The location sells Jasper remanufactured products to customers in North Carolina and southern Virginia.

“Our Greensboro customers can now take full advantage of several Jasper programs not afforded to them in the past,” Jasper President Zach Bawel said in a company release.

These programs include cooperative advertising, volume discounts and corporate tours that come with dealing directly with the factory, Bawel said.

Also, employees at the Greensboro location will benefit from associate-owned Jasper’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan, Bawel said.

Jasper Engines & Transmissions has 45 branch offices and distribution centers in 28 states. The company is based in Jasper, Ind.
