J.B. Poindexter Acquires Reading Truck Body
J.B. Poindexter & Co. Inc. has acquired vocational work truck body manufacturer Reading Truck Body. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Reading has five installation facilities operating as Reading Equipment & Distribution as well as a manufacturing plant in Reading, Pennsylvania.

JBPCO is very supportive of our long-term strategic growth plan, which includes expansion into new geographic markets and development of new, innovative products,” Nadel. said.
The truck body manufacturer will operate as an independent business unit within J.B. Poindexter, led by Nadel.
Poindexter’s subsidiaries manufacture commercial truck and van bodies as well as step-vans, funeral coaches and limousines. The company also is involved in expandable foam plastics and pickup truck bed enclosures.
