Jewell, Ruble Promoted at Forward Air
Forward Air Corp. has appointed new presidents for two divisions, effective Jan. 1, selecting Matthew Jewell to head its intermodal unit and Chris Ruble to lead the expedited services unit.
Jewell had been executive vice president of intermodal services and Ruble had been the executive vice president of operations. Forward Air, based in Greenville, Tennessee, ranks No. 34 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.

Ruble will have a new title as he continues to be in charge of Forward Air’s expedited airport-to-airport and Forward Air Complete services.
“Matt and Chris are talented leaders who have made significant contributions to Forward Air and who have played critical leadership roles in our growth,” Forward Air Chairman and CEO Bruce Campbell said. “I look forward to working with both of them in their new roles as we continue to drive superior results and long-term value for our shareholders. On behalf of our entire Forward Air family, I congratulate Matt and Chris on their well-deserved promotions.”
