J.J. Keller to Supply Mercer Transportation with EOBRs

J.J. Keller & Associates Inc. said it has been selected to supply Mercer Transportation Co. with electronic onboard recording devices for its owner-operator fleet.

The regulatory compliance firm said it will provide Mercer with onboard devices for about 2,200 trucks as well as a cloud-based back office system to monitor compliance and driver performance in real-time.

“Mercer wanted to stay ahead of the impending EOBR mandate, and achieve electronic hours of service compliance. Additionally a key objective was the reduction in potential log violations,” said Mike O’Neill , J. J. Keller’s Midwestern senior regional field sales manager said in a statement.

The on-board technology captures driver log data, validates HOS compliance, and regulatory changes are pushed to the devices automatically.

Mercer is ranked No. 54 on the Transport Topics Top 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
