Kuehne + Nagel Acquires Majority Stake in IMC Logistics

Kuehne + Nagel, a Switzerland-based global transportation and logistics company, acquired a majority stake in marine drayage provider IMC Logistics, it announced Nov. 14.

Kuehne + Nagel will acquire 51% of the privately held company. IMC specializes in comprehensive end-to-end transportation to and from seaports and rail hubs, customer facilities and inland in the United States.

Kuehne + Nagel, which called IMC a longtime partner in a release, said this move enhances its access to one of the most important logistics networks in North America and ensures flexible transportation in times of increasing supply chain disruptions. The IMC brand will be retained.



Kuehne + Nagel Americas, based in Jersey City, N.J., ranks No. 6 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest logistics companies in North America. Collierville, Tenn.-based IMC ranks No. 33 on the TT Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers.
