Landmark Ceramics will invest $72 million to expand its tile production near Nashville, Tenn., by creating a new logistics hub with advanced technology to enhance distribution operations.
Gov. Bill Lee said recently, “Landmark Ceramics is one of the many businesses that has shaped Tennessee’s economic landscape over the last decade. I thank this company for its commitment to creating greater opportunity for Tennesseans and am proud to announce their expansion in Maury County.”
Landmark Ceramics plans to create 80 jobs on its site at 427 North Main St. located near U.S. Route 43 in Mount Pleasant, some 60 miles southwest of Nashville.
CEO Filippo Sgarbi noted, “We are excited to finally have the chance to reveal our latest investments that started back in 2022. These latest important investments to increase our production capacity and create a brand new logistics hub will give Landmark Ceramics even more tools to provide all its customers a better service and resources to successfully compete in the market.”
A subsidiary of Italian company Gruppo Concorde of Modena province, Landmark Ceramics is a 100% U.S. ceramic tile company specializing in making and marketing porcelain tile for architectural, residential and commercial use. The company will increase its size by 400,000 square feet and installed production capacity to 80 million square feet a year.
“Despite being a young company, Landmark Ceramics has made big steps in the North American market in the past eight years, which is also thanks to the continuous support of TNECD [Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development],” Sgarbi added.
The governor’s office noted that since 2020, TNECD has supported nearly 15 economic development projects in Maury County that resulted in 3,400 job commitments and $4.8 billion in capital investment.

The project includes creating a modern logistics hub that is highly automated and that will enhance quality, efficiency, accuracy and precision for all Landmark Ceramics’ logistics services, the governor’s office added.
TNECD Commissioner Stuart McWhorter said the tile sector has experienced significant growth, with ceramics companies investing $350 million in Tennessee since 2018. He noted that Landmark Ceramics’ expansion is strengthening this sector statewide.
State Sen. Joey Hensley said, “I’m proud to help announce that Landmark Ceramics is expanding its successful operations with the addition of 80 new jobs and a $72 million investment. This is an exciting day for our community, as this announcement shows that Maury County is open for business.”
