Leading Economic Indicators Dip 0.1%

An index of leading economic indicators dipped 0.1% in June, the New York-based Conference Board said Monday.

The decline followed a revised 0.2% decline in May, the group said.

The downturn matched economists’ forecasts, Bloomberg reported.

The LEI is closely watched by trucking companies because it forecasts business activity for the next three to six months.
