Lytx, a global provider of machine vision and artificial intelligence-powered video telematics for commercial, public sector and field-service fleets, will rename its Rair Compliance Services offering to Lytx Compliance Services, according to a Dec. 12 news release.
The change was announced before fleets had to comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s electronic logging device mandate, which went into effect Dec. 16.

Founded in 2001 and acquired by Lytx in 2011, Rair was designed for fleets regulated by the Department of Transportation in need of an efficient way to manage ELD data, driver qualification files and Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) scores.
Through the offering, Lytx said it provides compliance services to more than half of the top 100 for-hire carriers in the U.S., with 10 million logs audited every month. It is one of the largest log auditors in the industry and one of the first companies to provide an integrated solution that consolidates paper logs, time records and ELD data, Lytx officials said.
Lytx said its compliance services offer information such as hours-of-service logs, driver qualification file auditing, vehicle inspection reporting, vehicle files and CSA scores analysis in a single dashboard, allowing clients to identify risk and compile compliance reports.
The service integrates with more than 20 industry-leading ELD providers and aggregates data to help safety managers, who often are inundated with data and email alerts, easily identify risks and trends by drivers and locations across their fleet, Lytx officials said.
The new name is effective immediately and will be implemented across Lytx in the coming months, the San Diego-based company said. — Transport Topics
