Marathon Data Systems, a provider of fleet and field-service management technology, has acquired fleet-tracking firm Foxtrax GPS for an undisclosed sum.
Marathon also has changed its corporate name to WorkWave in conjunction with the acquisition.
“Unifying our messaging and product portfolio under the WorkWave brand reinforces how our product offerings connect every aspect of our clients’ businesses, providing an unprecedented level of insight into their office and field operations,” WorkWave CEO Chris Sullens said.
The combined company offers an integrated suite of cloud-based management tools for field-service and last-mile delivery operations.
The company’s WorkWave Fleet product, formerly known as Viamente, provides route planning and optimization of delivery routes.
WorkWave GPS, formerly Foxtrax GPS, is a telematics platform that offers real-time vehicle tracking, driver behavior alerts and tracking and satellite-based asset tracking.
