People from all 50 states and 78 countries attended last week’s Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., with attendance up 9.2% from last year, according to an April 1 statement from the event’s management.
Exhibit Management Associates said attendance rose to 79,061 visitors from 78,337 in 2013. MATS, the largest annual truck show in North America, ran March 27-29.
It was the third-highest attendance at the show. 2012 was the most attended MATS, with almost 81,000 visitors, and 2006 was second.
The show has long used all 1.2 million interior square feet in Kentucky Exposition Center, so there was no change in that figure. The number of exhibitors edged up 0.5% to 1,077 from 1,072 last year.
The number of registered press covering the event rose 2.9% to 245 journalists. MATS 2015 will run March 26-28.
