MATS, Fastport Partner on Military Veteran-Hiring Initiative

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The organizers of the Mid-America Trucking Show joined with Fastport Inc. on April 1 to make official the largest signing of a statement of support in the history of the U.S. Department of Defense Office of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

“We are proud to provide the venue and opportunity for the trucking industry to demonstrate unprecedented support of the Guard and Reserve with Fastport,” said Toby Young, president of Exhibit Management Associates.

Bill McLennan, CEO of Fastport, said trucking industry employers will post jobs to truckingtrack.org as they work to hire 150,000 veterans, guard, reserve and other military personnel and the spouses.

“We are also very proud to work closely with the Office of ESGR to help educate employers about the 1.1 million talented men and women serving in the Guard and Reserve and to recognize their public support,” McLennan said.
