MD Logistics said it has expanded its operations by opening a 55,000 square foot drug distribution center in Reno, Nev.
The facility will operate as a pharmaceutical grade warehouse, offering controlled room temperature, cold storage and distribution services, the Plainfield, Ind.-based company said.
With the addition of the Reno distribution center, MDL’s facilities are now within a 24-hour drive of 80% of the mainland U.S. population, it said.
The Reno distribution site allows MDL to improve its supply chain execution and expand its West Coast customer base, President Mark Sell said in a statement.
When looking to expand westward, it chose Reno for its air, rail and interstate highways links and its proximity to large West Coast markets, MDL said.
