Meritor WABCO, Iteris Set Partnership

Meritor WABCO Vehicle Control Systems and Iteris Inc. said they have formed a partnership to streamline and simplify delivery of critical data about vehicle safety and performance to their mutual customers.

Meritor WABCO’s fleet customers will be able to use Iteris’ SafetyDirect application as a single point of access to monitor and synchronize driver performance data reports on braking, stability control, following distances, and lane-departure warnings for individual drivers and entire fleets.

The agreement allows information captured by Meritor WABCO’s SmartTrac and OnGuard active safety systems to be available through SafetyDirect, an online application for analyzing data generated by Iteris’ lane-departure warning system.

Meritor WABCO is a joint venture of ArvinMeritor Inc. and WABCO Automotive Control Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of WABCO Holdings.

Iteris makes technologies that reduce traffic congestion, minimize environmental impacts of traffic congestion and improve the safety of surface transportation systems infrastructure.
