Meritor Wabco Offers Automatic Trailer Lift Axle Control System

The system, part of the company’s SmartTrac line of stability control systems, automatically raises or lowers the axle based on cargo weight.

It helps reduce fuel costs, tire wear, vehicle downtime and labor and maintenance costs while increasing wheel-end and brake life, the company said.

The product integrates with Meritor Wabco’s trailer roll stability support and anti-lock braking systems. It also is compatible with any air ride-equipped lift axle suspension.

Meritor Wabco is a joint venture of Meritor Inc. and Wabco Holdings Inc.

Its SmartTrac portfolio includes anti-locking braking, automatic traction control, roll stability support and electronic stability control.
