Michelin Launches Regional Retread
The Michelin X Multi Energy D Pre-Mold retread complements the previously launched Michelin X Multi Energy D drive tire.
“With shorter routes trending in the trucking industry, customers are looking for tires and retreads that can handle mixed highway and regional use,” said Bianca Hogan, the tire maker’s U.S. marketing director. “The new Michelin X Multi Energy D Pre-Mold retread complements our new tire offering in meeting those needs and performs especially well in 4x2 applications.”
The tire also is guaranteed for a second retread when retreaded on a Michelin casing by Michelin Retread Technologies dealers.
The retread is available in three tread widths — 220, 230 and 240 — all with 21/32-inch tread depth.
Separately, BFGoodrich Commercial Truck Tires announced an extended warranty for its commercial truck tires and casings, effective Sept. 1.
The warranty coverage against defects in workmanship and materials for all BFGoodrich commercial truck tires now will extend to the life of the original tread or five years from the date of manufacture, whichever occurs first. For tires used in longhaul service, the new warranty will cover up to two retreads or five years from date of manufacture.
