Michelin Group promoted Alexis Garcin, a 17-year company veteran, to chairman and president of Michelin North America Inc.

Garcin was senior vice president of the global long-distance transportation business line since 2018. From 2011 to 2017, he was global strategic marketing director for the truck and bus division. He will be based in Greenville, S.C., home of Michelin’s North American headquarters,
