Mitchell 1 Upgrades Manager SE Truck Edition Shop Management Software

CLEVELAND — Mitchell 1 announced that the latest release of its Manager SE Truck Edition shop management software includes new fleet management and communication features.
The company, a software service provider that makes repair information available to the automotive and trucking industries, made the announcement Sept. 12 during American Trucking Associations’ 2021 Technology & Maintenance Council Fall Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition.
Manager SE Truck Edition is Mitchell 1’s truck shop management software. It is designed to help streamline repair processes, improve shop communication, engage with customers and track performance metrics.

This latest upgrade to Manager SE Truck Edition increases a provider’s ability to integrate and communicate with fleet customers. Repair facilities using the system to track shop productivity now can integrate with their customers’ fleet management systems, meaning they have the ability to share estimates, service records and other information.
“It’s not hard to see how this is going to improve efficiency at the shop level [and] at the shop-to-fleet communication level,” said Ben Johnson, director of product management at Mitchell 1.
With integration to Manager SE Truck Edition, fleets requiring service on their vehicles can send requests to a provider directly from their fleet management system to Mitchell 1’s shop management system. The service provider can accept the task, share estimates, get approvals and accept payment from the fleet. The final record of the repair is shared with the fleet management system so the vehicle’s service history can be well-documented.

Other newly expanded features include a favorite reports selector with email capabilities and two-way text messaging.
The upgrade to Manager SE Truck Edition builds on Mitchell 1’s recent addition of Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards codes to its TruckSeries truck repair software. TruckSeries offers medium- and heavy-duty truck repair information, supplying technicians with estimating and diagnostic trouble code data. Manager SE Truck Edition was designed to work in tandem with TruckSeries.
FleetNet America, a fleet maintenance company, is the first fleet management system to announce integration to Manager SE Truck Edition.
