National Carrier Exchange Launches Free Online Logistics Platform
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Software provider National Carrier Exchange Inc. announced a free online logistics platform for freight carriers that allows real-time tracking and live mapping of its trucks at all times.
The platform can be accessed using any Web browser, and its free company driver app is available for Android phones and tablets. An iPhone and iPad version will be available in early April, the company said.
The logistics platform also allows dispatchers to schedule and assign work to all of its drivers, keep a detailed load calendar and monitor shipments from pickup to delivery with the click of a button, according to National Carrier.
The company also said carriers can send free tracking numbers to their clients, giving them location awareness and the ability to watch their cargo moving live on a map. At the moment of delivery, the system instantly transmits copies of the signed bill of lading to the carrier, allowing them to be sent to the shipper along with the invoice for the cost of the haul.
