Navistar International Corp. said Thursday it has sold its recreational vehicle business to Allied Specialty Vehicles. Terms were not disclosed.
The company sold its Navistar RV unit, which makes motorized and towable recreational vehicles, to Allied, which makes fire, emergency, commercial, industrial and recreational vehicles.
Navistar makes International brand heavy-duty trucks.
Navistar said the sale was an “important step in [its] turnaround plan.” The sale did not include Bison Coach, Navistar’s horse trailer manufacturing business.
The sale “represents another important step in our return-on-invested-capital review process,” Chief Operating Officer Jack Allen said in a statement, adding that Navistar is continuing to focus on its core North American truck businesses.
