Fleet telematics provider Navman Wireless has released a new GPS software platform, Navman Wireless Director.
The new product is the result of collaboration between the engineering teams of Navman Wireless and its recently combined sister company, Teletrac Inc.
The features available through Navman Wireless Director “go beyond fleet tracking to include everything from analyzing driver behavior, to receiving instant alerts, robust safety reporting and custom geofences,” said Paresh Nagda, chief technology officer.
Other features include mapping, messaging, workflow forms, user alerts, vehicle maintenance and user-search functions.
The software’s driver and vehicle behavior feature, Safety Analytics, includes a visual event viewer and driver scorecards that enables fleets to monitor and replay unsafe driving events that occur on the road.
The new software platform is the successor of Navman Wireless’ previous GPS offering, OnlineAVL2.
