New York Recalls Fuel Tax Stickers

A case of disappearing ink is forcing New York state to recall International Fuel Tax Agreement stickers issued for 2000.

The Department of Taxation and Finance is being forced to replace the defective permits because the ink runs when subjected to the high pressure water of truck washes.

A representative of the department said the state did not know when the new stickers would be mailed out, but old permits will be valid in the meantime.
