Nextran Buys Premier Truck Centers in Alabama

Nextran Corp. has purchased Premier Truck Centers, with locations in Birmingham, Tuscumbia and Madison, Ala. Terms were not released.

The Nextran Truck Center Madison and Tuscumbia dealership locations will continue to sell and support Mack, Volvo & UD trucks from the former Premier locations in Madison and Tuscumbia.

Nextran President and CEO Jon Pritchett said, “I am very proud to add these locations to the Nextran family.

Founded in 1992, Nextran has have grown to 14 truck centers located on major routes throughout Florida, Georgia and Alabama, CEO Jon Pritchett said in a statement.

T.J. Willings, Premier’s president, will continue in the commercial vehicle business with Nextran as vice president, Alabama operations, and former Premier employees will be a “welcome addition to the Nextran family,” he said.
