Nominations Open for ATA’s Mike Russell Trucking Image Award

American Trucking Associations has opened the nomination process for its Mike Russell “Good stuff” Trucking Image Award, an award that honors people who contribute to positive awareness of the trucking industry.

The award, which is in its third year, “provides a chance to recognize those that have gone above and beyond to promote trucking's role as the backbone of the American economy,” said ATA President Bill Graves.

The award is named for Mike Russell, a former ATA vice president who helped develop the image campaign: “Good stuff. Trucks Bring It.” Russell died in a rafting accident three years ago.

Submissions are due by Sept. 14. A panel of judges will evaluate the nominations and the winners will be announced at ATA’s Management Conference & Exhibition in October in Las Vegas.
