Old Dominion Freight Line said Chief Executive Officer Earl Congdon will retire at year’s end and be succeeded by his son, President David Congdon, Bloomberg reported.

The less-than-truckload carrier announced the change in a regulatory filing, Bloomberg reported late Friday.

Old Dominion Freight Line is ranked No. 20 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
