Overseas Express Consolidators Canada Inc. has acquired Ryder CRSA Logistics business in Canada, Hong Kong and Shanghai to broaden buyer’s service offerings.
Terms weren’t disclosed by Montreal-based OEC, whose statement said “the joining of the two companies creates a strong strategic, experienced partnership, merging best practices and the individual strengths of two industry-leading organizations, specializing in the retail vertical and fulfillment.”
CRSA, which now will operate at CRSA Global Logistics, serves retail clients and consumer goods companies with non-vessel operating common carrier offerings, value-added services and purchase order management, the statement said.
“This purchase represents a significant value creation opportunity for all stakeholders,” said Marc Bibeau, CEO of OEC. “Our combined customer base will benefit from increased flexibility in the supply chain, product innovation and a service culture of excellence that is unparalleled in the industry.”
