Oil Jumps $6 to Close Week Over $104 a Barrel

Oil jumped more than $6 Friday to close the trading week at $104.55 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, Bloomberg reported.

Crude futures rose $6.67 from Thursday’s closing price of $97.88 a barrel, Bloomberg said. Futures reached as high as $105.25 in intraday trading.

The price had closed Tuesday at $91.15 a barrel, a seven-month low.

The Energy Department comes out with its weekly survey of diesel and gasoline pump prices on Monday.
