Old Dominion’s 1Q Profit Rises

Less-than-truckload carrier Old Dominion Freight Line said Thursday its first-quarter profit rose to $13.6 million or 36 cents a share, from $13 million or 35 cents a year earlier.

Revenue rose 9.7% to $319.9 million, the company said in a statement.

ODFL said it would earn 52 to 55 cents per share in the second quarter, and $2 to $2.05 per share for the full year.

Old Dominion Freight Line is ranked No. 24 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
