Omnitracs Nears Milestone of 1 Million Mobile Assets Managed

DALLAS — Omnitracs said the company and its business units are now providing fleet-management technology for nearly 1 million mobile assets in 60 countries for close to 30,000 for-hire and private fleet customers.

The company made the announcement here Feb. 8 at its Outlook 2015 user conference.

Omnitracs, formerly part of Qualcomm Inc., recently acquired XRS Corp. and Roadnet Technologies. Its other business units include Sylectus, Omnitracs Analytics and Omnitracs Mexico.

The company said it is enabling more than 100 million data transactions per day and has grown to more than 800 employees.

“Omnitracs is in the midst of an exciting period of growth and leadership,” CEO John Graham said in the announcement.

Early this year, Omnitracs moved its corporate headquarters to Dallas from San Diego.
