Oshkosh Truck’s 4Q Profit Surges

Specialty truck maker Oshkosh Truck Corp.’s fiscal fourth-quarter profit soared 74%, the company said Thursday.

Net earnings jumped to $85.4 million or $1.14 a share, from $49.2 million or 66 cents for the same quarter last year, Oshkosh said in a statement.

Sales rose to $1.79 billion from for the quarter ended Sept. 30, from $904.4 million last year.

The profit was boosted by the acquisition of JLG Industries, Oshkosh said.



Oshkosh raised its full-year guidance for the year to $4.15 to $4.35 a share, from an earlier projection of $3.35 to $3.40 a share.
