PacLease said it is offering liquefied natural gas powered trucks for rent in several Western states through a partnership with Kenworth Sales Co. and Blu LNG.
The trucks will be available at some Kenworth Sales Co.-PacLease locations in Idaho, Washington, Utah, Nevada and Oregon where Blu LNG has completed construction of LNG fueling stations.
“This also offers fleets the opportunity to make sure the fueling infrastructure has been established to meet their needs and routes,” Olen Hunter, director of sales for PacLease, said in a statement.
The rental program will offer trucks in local-delivery, regional-haul, longhaul and heavy-haul configurations, according to PacLease.
More rental locations will become available as new Blu LNG stations come online and rental truck equipment capacity is added, the leasing company said.
PacLease is a subsidiary of truck and engine manufacturer Paccar Inc., which is also the parent company of Peterbilt Motors Co. and Kenworth Truck Co.
