Pegasus TransTech Unveils Fleet-Management Tool
Pegasus TransTech unveiled Transflo Telematics, which is designed to provide enhanced fleet-management and electronic logging device and related functions.
The new product was designed in a partnership with Geotab, based in Oakville, Ontario, which sells GPS tracking devices and software for fleet management worldwide, the company’s statement said.
“The two companies integrated their open platforms to deliver the best of telematics and the best of mobile in one solution,” Pegasus TransTech said. “The fully integrated solution includes affordable functionality that is competitive with traditional, high-end in-cab telematics systems.”
Frank Adelman, president of Pegasus TransTech, said the new offering was “a natural extension” of its TransFlo product line.
The new Transflo offering includes data and telematics software for fleet managers, an advanced ELD that installs in the vehicle, and a mobile application from which drivers manage electronic logs and all other workday activities.
Pegasus TransTech agreed to become an authorized Geotab reseller for truckload fleets. “With our plug-and-play device, fleet managers can easily implement and rely on our accurate, Open Platform fleet management solution to increase productivity and cut costs,” Geotab CEO Neil Cawse said.
The telematics portal offers GPS tracking, vehicle diagnostics and related services such as accident detection and notification. The ELDs’ features include installation in under 10 minutes and second-by-second recording.
