Peterbilt to Launch Special Heritage Edition Model 567
Peterbilt Motors Co. will start producing in September a special Heritage version of its Model 567 tractor and is taking orders now.
A division of Paccar Inc., the Denton, Texas-based original equipment manufacturer said the 567s will be made in one of three configurations: day cabs and either 72-inch or 80-inch sleeper cabs.
The June 13 announcement said the trucks are designed for owner-operators and for fleets whose management wants to reward drivers.
“The Heritage delivers proven productivity, uptime and value with a look and feel that is like no other truck on the road,” Peterbilt General Manager Darrin Siver said.
The 567 is primarily a vocational truck designed to “endure the rigors of dump, logging, construction and the harshest of vocational applications.”
The Heritage has a 121-inch bumper-to-back-of-cab length. It features a set-forward front axle to optimize payloads and weight distribution, the OEM said.
Other features include polished rocker panels, quarter-fender closeout panels, fender brace and brackets, battery boxes and fuel tanks, chromed air intake bezel and metal hood latches, and brown interior with a black dash top and wood-finish trim.
