Port of L.A. Exports Reach Record

Container volume at the Port of Los Angeles rose 12.3% from a year ago, with exports reaching a record, the port said Tuesday.

Twenty-foot equivalent exports rose to 193,547 TEUs, the highest in the port’s history.

Loaded imports rose 5.5% from the same month last year, to 368,843 TEUs.

Year-to-date volume is up 0.7% from last year, to 6.6 million TEUs, the port said in a statement.



The Port of Los Angeles and neighboring Port of Long Beach make up the largest U.S. container port complex.
