Prime Distribution Services Expands in Plainfield, Indiana
"With the new Airtech facility in our network, we now have approximately 2.5 million square feet of state-of-the-art, food-grade distribution facilities strategically located throughout the U.S. ," Bill Goodgion, president of Roadrunner Transportation Systems global solutions segment, said in a statement. "We continue to expand, evolve and collaborate with our customers to provide them with best-in-class service, reduce their supply chain costs and improve their on-time performance.”
The new location, which Prime refers to as Airtech, has 300,000 square feet of warehousing space, can accommodate up to 20,000 pallets and has 30 dock doors. The Airtech facility also will offer dry warehousing space, with refrigerated warehousing services to continue at the company’s Allpoints facility in Plainfield, PDS said.
Prime, based in Cudahy, Wisconsin, said that all of its warehouses, including the new Airtech facility, are certified by the American Institute of Baking and have maintained superior ratings since 2003. The certification signifies that PDS has consistently achieved and maintained exceptional standards of cleanliness for food safety assurance, according to the company.
