Qualcomm’s 2Q Profit Grows

Qualcomm Inc.’s profit gained 29% in the second quarter, it said.

Profit increased to $999 million, or 59 cents per share in the quarter ended March 27, compared with $774 million, or 46 cents, last year.

Revenue grew 46% to $3.9 billion, Qualcomm said in a statement Wednesday.

The company said it expects its full fiscal year revenue to range from $14.1 billion to $14.7 billion, with earnings of $2.51 to $2.59 per share.

Qualcomm makes computer applications for the trucking industry, including communications and trailer-tracking systems.
